Wedding season is here which means tons of events to attend and gift giving! Over the weekend, one of my close childhood friends had a bridal shower and I wanted to do something special and unique and made this bridal shower basket which turned out to be a big hit and I thought I’d share how it all came together. This works for so many other occasions as well such as bachelorette or engagement parties!
Step 1:
Start by setting up your basket or box (I decided to use a mint blue box to tie in with the something blue theme of the bridal shower!) and stuffing the bottom with wrapping or tissue paper. I used about 3-4 sheets and made the edges stick out from the box in order to make it look more festive and fun. I found this adorable white scallop edge wrapping paper from American Greetings! The bride loves anything scallops and I think she’ll appreciate that little touch.
Step 2:
Next, place your bridal shower gifts into the box. You can go for the more traditional gifts such as champagne glasses and a photo album or include more feminine gifts like I did. I decided to go with a glittery bride to be sign that she can hang on her door, a comfy bride tank top, pale pink nail polish, lipstick, candle, and a baseball hat that says bride on it with white tulle attached to the back of it.
Step 3:
My favorite part about gift giving is including a card and watching my friend’s reactions as they read it. While giving a gift is sweet, it’s really the words included in a card that makes a difference and shows how much you appreciate your loved ones. That’s why I decided to include this beautiful American Greetings card in the gift basket which is perfect since it’s a bridal shower card! I never see too many of those in stores and love that the brand has cards for all sorts of unique occasions. Plus the designs are just gorgeous to put up for display such as on a bulletin board or even framing it.
I couldn’t help but share these other cards that I found such as this thank you card for a colleague that’s been helping me finding a job and this pink one for my best friend who recently moved and that I’ve been missing dearly.
Step 4:
Lastly, you can choose to leave your box open and wrap it with clear gift wrap or you can place a lid on it like I did and put a festive bow on it. I found this gorgeous white flower bow from American Greetings which works with the girly theme of the box and looks very bridal.
That’s it! Super easy to put together yet it’s a meaningful gift that the bride will remember for years to come.
I hope you enjoyed this post and make sure to check out more American Greetings items in the party aisle of your local Wal-Mart. If you purchase any American Greetings cards, you can actually earn $1 on Ibotta so make sure to check out this offer.
Thanks for reading,
