Hey guys! Due to not having much inspiration lately when it comes to blogging (I like to call it Bloggers’ Block) I decided to post a throwback of one of my favorite photoshoots featuring the stunning Eva Mendes. Over the years I’ve accumulated a lot of photos from fashion photoshoots that have inspired me and I thought I’d share them with you.
This photoshoot was for The Edit which is Net-a-Porter’s online magazine which shows Eva wearing various talented designers such as Alexander McQueen, Anna Sui, and the infamous lace dresses from last year’s Dolce & Gabbana fall/winter collection. These photos were released for the September 2013 issue so I thought it would be interesting to see how the trends have changed from last fall compared to the 90’s trends that are present this year.
I’m in love with how they decided to do the photoshoot outdoors in natural lighting and how the girly dresses she’s wearing makes a nice contrast against the trees and antique furniture.
The photoshoot completely reflects Eva’s personal style as well and many of these dresses look exactly like what she wears in real life on the red carpet. I love how she always keeps it classy and retro and really embraces the ladylike look. A modern-day Sophia Loren am I right?
And the hair! Ugh I have major hair envy after seeing these photos again. Also, those Dolce & Gabbana headbands are to die for.
Hope you enjoyed this! What are some of your favorite photoshoots from the past?
Until next time lovelies,
-Ruya
