Hey guys! so I decided to celebrate the end of the semester with a shopping trip (what else is new?) and picked up a new gel polish shade: Gelish’s Party Girl Problems which is a part of the Trends collection that came out a few months ago. In case you didn’t know, the Trends collection is basically a bunch of unique gel top coats that can also be layered to make opaque and is avaliable in stores such as Sally’s Beauty Supply.
Party Girl Problems has got to be my most favorite gel polish! The pictures don’t do it justice cause it looks so much better in real life! It’s just so girly and glittery and can be seen from a mile away! I’m so glad I bought this one. It contains a mixture of blue, purple, red and silver glitters in it but I would say the dominant color is purple.
Since it was a top coat and takes a few layers to make opaque, I decided to first apply one coat of Gelish’s You Glare, I Glow as a base and then applied two coats of Party Girls Problems. I’ve seen shots of Party Girl Problems without a base on Chickettes and it looks great both ways but I prefer saving some time.
The only complaint I have is that it took me a while to apply it since it was such a thicker formula compared to most Gelish polishes. Maybe it’s because of the amount of glitter it contains? I managed to make it work at the end but something to keep in mind if you do buy this!
What do you think of the Trends collection? Any favorites? Let me know!
Until next time lovelies,
-Ruya
