For a few years now, I’ve been looking into buying a pair of Chanel espadrilles. They’re comfortable, can be worn often and makes any casual outfit look a little more chic. It’s the perfect investment!
Every season, they come up with a new style and I fell in love with this blush pink sheer pair with embroidered C’s on them from their SS19 collection. I’ll admit, they were a bit hard to find since they’re still so new and just now beginning to hit Chanel boutiques and selling out quickly. I managed to grab a pair at the Nordstrom here in Northpark mall in Dallas. I highly recommend purchasing designer shoes from Nordstrom if you want amazing customer service. My SA went out of his way to track a pair in my size that was available at a Nordstrom in California and get it shipped to me.
Now that I’ve worn these shoes a few times (thank you Dallas for finally having good weather!), here’s my honest review of these shoes:
S T Y L E: 5/5
I love the style of Chanel espadrilles and these ones are quite unique with the sheer mesh that was used. I love how the logo is subtle since it’s in the same color as the rest of the shoe but also eye-catching since the mesh is see-through while the logo is embroidered. It’s a nice way to wear a logo pair of shoes without being “too in your face”. They also had their sheer espadrilles come in grey, black and also nude/black which all look just as gorgeous. Ultimately, I decided to go with the blush pink since I wanted something more spring/summer and feminine. So far, I’ve worn them to the office, out to dinner etc. and get tons of compliments. It works with dresses, jeans, and so many other kinds of outfits and that’s really what I want out of designer shoes. I don’t want to spend so much money and only wear them once in a while!
The only one thing I should say about the style is that you’re probably going to size up and if you have wide feet like me then your toes might not reach all the way to the top and people can see that since the shoes are sheer. It’s not an issue for me and still fits/looks okay but some people might feel bothered by this since everyone can see it. I highly recommend trying these shoes on before purchasing!
C O M F O R T : 4/5
Overall, Chanel espadrilles are ridiculously comfortable except for one issue which I’ve noticed with all Chanel shoes: if you had wide feet, it might be a bit of a problem. I decided to size up but the “band” of the shoes is quite snug and might need some stretching and getting used to it. Personally, I’m not bothered by it since a lot of shoes are not wide enough for me but for some people it might bother them. I still haven’t worn these shoes enough to know if they’ll stretch out or not but we’ll see. Once again, I recommend trying them on before making a purchase this expensive!
P R I C E : 4/5
I don’t know but out of all the designer brands, Chanel seems to be the most over-priced. These retailed for around $725 (I can’t remember the exact number since it was a gift lol) so they’re cheaper compared to other Chanel shoes but still quite an investment for a pair of casual shoes. Personally, I’m going to get tons of wear out of them so cost per wear makes it worth it. Also the quality of the shoes are amazing. The materials are so soft and doesn’t hurt your feet even after wearing them for hours. The price makes it worth, in my opinion.
Lastly, if you keep them in good condition and sell them in the future, they’ll totally be in-demand since they’re espadrilles are so popular and these ones are a unique pair that will be hard to find in the future.

They're cute but not something I would buy!
