Truthfully, my house has always been quite around Christmas since almost all my family lives in Istanbul and we only get to see them every other year or sometimes every couple of years. I’ve always envied people with big families that live close by and they can easily visit for the holidays. But this year, I wasn’t filled with comparison but with gratitude. Let go of the idea of a “picture-perfect” holiday season and embrace how good things are. Even if you’re celebrating with only a few family members, friends or even by yourself (I know many people are but don’t want to admit it but it’s okay!). There’s always something to be grateful for.
As for the outfit, I fell in love with this cranberry red blazer that’s perfect for the holidays but also to wear to the office afterwards. I paired it with this lace came that I got from Zara during their Black Friday sale (I also picked it up in white!) and I highly recommend a few lace tops like this that you can wear underneath v-neck sweaters, blazers and cardigans. Of course, I had to pull the entire look together with a Chanel ribbon that makes the look so much more feminine. What are you wearing for Christmas Eve? Something more casual or dressy?
Happy holidays,
