I know, I know. I’m super late with the updates about the Nioxin System 5 treatment! I started a new job and had to get my roots dyed and actually start using heat on it again so I’ve been using the treatment a bit less. I went from using the scalp treatment everyday to now only using 2-3 times a week after I wash my hair. As for the shampoo and conditioner, despite the fact that system 5 is for chemically treated hair, there’s still sulfates in it (always check in the ingredients list on the back of the bottle!) so I’m going back and forth between my sulfate-free shampoos and these products so that way I’m not losing too much color from my hair. What I’ve noticed is that it’s not too harsh on chemically treated hair and my hair doesn’t look too faded but I’d rather play it safe and not use it too much.
I’m going to continue using the Nioxin system but probably won’t post about it week by week (unless anyone wants me to continue doing that) until I’m all done with it and will do a final results post so stay tuned! Lastly, I highly recommend giving Nioxin products a try if you’ve been experiencing hair loss or just want your hair to be healthier and have volume. Keep in mind, there’s nothing healthy or all-natural about Nioxin products and it’s packed with chemicals but if you’re desperate and need to try something new then this might be it. I linked the other kinds of “systems” that Nioxin has below depending on your hair type and degree of hair loss.
