By far, one of my favorite decades is the 90’s. I grew up watching 90’s sitcoms like Saved The Bell, Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, and the Nanny (follow the Instagram @whatfranwore if you loved Fran’s outfits! #styleicon) and I always wished that 90’s fashion could just stay forever. Even though trends come and go, it’s nice to see that the 90’s revival seems to be here for a little while longer and that’s what inspired this outfit which I decided to shoot at my favorite childhood spot which is Irondequoit Bay. Although it was super windy, I love the way the photos turned out and decided to edit them the same way that I edit my Instagram feed to give it a more airy and vintage look. I’m not sure why, but in some photos I look tan but I’m totally not complaining since I look ridiculously pale in real life! haha.
As for the outfit, as you know I’m always wearing baseball hats these days and my most recent addition to my collection is this vintage MTV one that the sales associate at Urban Outfitters searched 20 minutes for in the store. God bless her lol. I decided to keep the outfit simple with a jean jacket (another 90’s staple) and my favorite new bag – what do they call these? hoop bags? – which I was lucky enough to grab the last one before it was all sold out at my local Kohl’s. While I’m not the biggest fan of black bags, I’m obsessed with how different this was is and I’m pretty sure my Mom had one just like it when I was a kid so I had to get it. I can’t wait to pair it with more outfits but it seems to really go with everything!
