The Effortless Long Bob

Hey ladies! For a month now, I’ve been going through this phase where I hate everything. Including my hair which was looking ridiculous by the way. Although I’ve pretty much done everything to my hair the past couple years (bronde, blue and pink, balayage are the most recent), I decided it was time to cut it. First of all, I’ve been dyeing my hair for years now and the amount of damage it’s accumulated is awful and it really seemed to show after I did the balayage. Second, I was bored of my hair but didn’t want to do anything dramatic like a short bob (been there, done that. Didn’t look great on my round face!). A long bob (or lob for short) seemed to be the perfect look that would give me a fresh, modern look but also doesn’t take much time to straighten in the mornings! Seriously, it only takes 15 minutes to blow dry my naturally curly hair straight which feels like a miracle haha.

If you want to get the same look, just tell your hairstylist to cut your hair until it’s a little bit past your shoulders. Here’s some reference pictures that I used (found on Pinterest, of course): 

I’m obsessed with the results and I highly recommend taking a couple inches off your hair if it’s damaged! My hair looked healthier instantly and the length wasn’t a big change so I felt confident right after the appointment. I can’t wait to see how it looks when it’s curled! It’s amazing how a great haircut can brighten your mood and make you feel better about yourself. I just feel like a new person! It’s like having a weight lifted off your shoulders (literally, haha).
