What to Wear: First Day of College

The first day of anything always seems to be the most important but when it comes to the first day of college, it’s always important to dress to impress. I’ve seen even the laziest of students look nice on the first day! By looking polished and put together, it gives you a little less anxiety and helps you to prepare to take on the semester. Or if you’re like me, it just gives you an excuse to dress nice! Here are some of my favorite outfits that will hopefully help you decide on what to wear for the first day and get inspired. 

Is it that obvious that this outfit is totally my style? We all know how much I love matching separates (last seen in this post) and the scallops just give it an extra preppy touch while the bag and watch gives it some fun and color to an otherwise classic outfit. And how adorable is that iPhone case?! 


Sometimes simplicity speaks volumes. For the girls who love a good neutral palette and who’s go-to outfit is all black then this look might work for you. My favorite thing about this style is the minimalist jewelry such as these gorgeous midi rings and bar necklace. So simple yet so chic!

I always admire the style of art students because they’re always so daring and eccentric when it comes to fashion. These shorts reminded me of a watercolor painting while the stripes add some nice contrast along with the bright yellow backpack that gives it a bit of pop.
