This is actually my first blog award and I’m so honored to have been chosen. Here are the 11 questions Olivia chose for me…
1.) What is your favorite blog post you’ve done?
It’s so hard to choose just one so I’m going to say any of my outfit posts! It’s so much fun shooting the pictures and sharing with everyone my personal style.
2.) Where/Who do you look for when you are having a blogging block and feel stuck?
This happens to me a lot! I usually just go on Pinterest or Instagram and get inspired by the pictures that are on there. I try not to go on other blogs for inspiration when it comes to writing content because I feel that my blog should be as original as possible and I want to avoid comparison. Negativity makes everything worse when you have blogging block!
3.) What are your New Years resolutions?
This year I’ve decided to stop living in the past (I’m going to write a post about this soon!), to take more risks, and to think more positively. So far so good! Even though it’s only been like 3 days haha.
4.) What is your go-to app for blogging?
Instagram! I’ve found the most success with it when it comes to spreading the word about new posts and discovering other blogs. Plus I’m just obsessed with it, no big deal.
5.) What is the most important blogging tip you have learned?
That you can’t become a success overnight. As long as your constantly posting great content, promoting, and networking then eventually your hard work will be worth it at the end. Don’t put so much pressure on yourself when it comes to stats because success happens when you least expect it.
6.) What is your favorite song?
Just one?! I always seem to have “Rich Girl” by Gwen Stefani stuck in my head these days. I know, I love the throwbacks haha.
7.) How long have you been blogging for?
Since the summer of 2013 although I didn’t get into “serious” blogging until the spring of 2014.
8.) What is one thing you want your viewers to know?
That people on the internet and social media aren’t as perfect as they seem so there’s no point in comparing yourself to others. Blogging is a very controlled environment and a lot of us only broadcast our “red carpet” moments and hide our imperfections. Personally I’ve never been one for that, but I have been fooled into thinking other people’s lives are better than myn and that I should strive to be just like them. This is a horrible feeling and no one deserves to feel that way!
9.) What is your favorite quote and why?
“There is no passion to be found playing small, in settling for a life that is less than the one you are capable of living.” -Nelson Mandela. Although I have many favorite quotes, this one’s always on my mind because I’m not a risk-taker and always seem to be stuck in my comfort zone. It reminds me that I could have a better life, if only I got over my fear of taking risks.

11.) If you could do anything in the world what would it be?
To pack a suitcase right now and travel the world!
Now it’s time for 11 random facts about me (cause I love talking about myself haha).
1.) I love organizing and planning! I know, I know weird.
2.) My hair is naturally curly…such a pain to straighten it all the time!
3.) I love pyschology and specifically motivation. That’s why I write the advice section of my blog!
4.) I love watching old Hollywood movies and I like to think they inspired my need to dress girly and classy.
5.) Lauren Conrad is my spirit animal.
6.) My favorite books are Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen and The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho.
7.) I won best dressed in high school…biggest accomplishment of my life so far haha.
8.) My name means “dream” in Turkish.
9.) My favorite show right now is Pretty Little Liars.
10.) I’m an only child 🙁
11.) I’m horrible at math and still don’t understand what it actually is lol.
