One of my favorite things to do on a day off is to organize my closet and more importantly, shop my own closet. Although getting rid of some old stuff can be quite tempting (I’m in a constant state of self-improvement and that includes my wardrobe!), I find it more useful to try to make my old clothes new again. Not only is it budget-friendly, but it challenges you to be more creative with your style!
So how do you make something old, new again? Quite simple! I like to personally mix and match it with different combinations of shirts or bottoms or my personal favorite: accessories. A new scarf or jewelry can completely change your old clothes into something refreshingly new. My last tip would be to get it tailored to your body shape. The look of a jacket or even a pair of jeans changes when you get it tailored to perfection. It can even make you look slimmer! It can be a bit pricey to get all your clothes tailored, but one or two staple pieces can be worth it.
What sparked the idea to write this post was this H&M coat (or would it be a long jacket?) that I found hiding in the back of my closet. I completely forgot that I had it and still haven’t even worn it once! The puffy sleeves, gold zipper accents, and baby pink color is totally fall fashion worthy. Maybe it should be included in a new outfit post? Let me know what you think!
Until next time lovelies,
