Earlier this week I got a raise (yay!) so what better way to celebrate then with a new purchase? I wasn’t actually planning on buying a new handbag but I’ve been eyeing the new summer collection from Michael Kors and loved how they used aqua as their main color which is also my favorite color! I wish I had the money to buy the entire clothing and handbag collection this season just because I love that color so much!
You don’t see too many aqua-colored bags these days and I thought to myself, when’s the next time I’m going to see a purse in this color? It’s easy to find black or brown purses but never in the color aqua so I took a risk and bought it. Mind you, the last handbag I bought I literally contemplated buying it for months so this was defiantly risky for me. I will say that it was worth it though and I can totally see myself wearing this throughout the year. It’s not just a summer color but a color that you’re able to wear no matter what the season is.
My Canon actually made the bag look more blue when in reality it’s much more of green. Here it is taken with flash on my iPhone which looks closer to it’s actual color:
As for the quality, it’s impeccable as always and sturdy enough to last you for a very long time. I don’t mind spending a little bit more on handbags since it’s something that I use everyday but I don’t want to go all out with a Chanel or Celine (as if I have the money haha) so Michael Kors is always a great alternative.
The Hamilton style is bigger than the Selma (which I already did a review on here) and it’s great if you want to fit a couple books in there for school. It also comes attached with a strap in case your arms get tired from carrying it as these bags can get quite heavy due to the stiff material!
Overall, I’m happy with this purchase but will probably not be buying anything new for a while. Although I did get it on sale I still feel bad for spending all that money ya know? Finance major problems…
