What to Wear: Effortless Fall Looks

Inspiration struck and I thought I’d start making some sets of outfits to wear for the fall season in college since I feel like many of us are starting to get lazy when it comes to what to wear for school. Getting up for that 8am lecture these days is painful, yet what’s worse is looking in the mirror around 12pm and realizing what you chose to wear for the day…yikes! Here are some outfits that will help you to avoid that while still managing to require little effort in the mornings so you’ll have time to get some much-needed coffee to help you through that painful lecture. Enjoy!

Look #1 – “The Uniform”

I call this the uniform because I always fall back on this outfit whenever I’m in a rush and it’s basic enough to create different looks with by mixing and matching a few accessories. It consists of a black shirt and jeans which almost everyone has in their wardrobes while using bright accessories like this patterned scarf and flats to make the outfit more interesting. Who needs sweats when you can look stylish this easily?

 Look #2 – “A Walk on the Floral Side”

A year ago, I probably would’ve never worn patterned skinny jeans but now I love them! They can easily make any plain outfit look interesting and for me, the trick is to wear some neutral colors in order to keep the outfit from not looking too busy. I think these floral ones are great since they’re a darker color and look more like a fall essential rather than something you would see in the spring. Bonus: The leather jacket toughens up the look and keeps it from looking too sweet!

 Look #3 – “The Romantic”

Shorts and black tights are great for those warmer fall days in September and depending on your style you can switch it up from edgy to girly in seconds. I went with the more girly look here by pairing the shorts with a cardigan (what’s fall without cardigans?!) and a black bow shirt to give it a more sophisticated look.
