Earlier today I was at the Victoria’s Secret semi-annual sale (with just about the rest of the world) and as I was avoiding the millions of body sprays that were on sale, I came across this amazing perfume called Gorgeous. At first, what attracted me was the vintage style bottle with the diffuser at the top but then I was sucked into buying it when I first smelled the light, sweet, feminine scent which is a must-have for every girly-girl out there. I bought the biggest size which is 3.4oz for only $35 (a bargain!) and it’s an eau de parfum so I know it lasts a long time. Describing a scent over the web is kinda difficult but I could detect notes of strawberry, jasmine, and some sandalwood. It’s light enough to wear every day during the summer and doesn’t have that fruity, generic smell that some fragrances have at Victoria’s Secret. Unfortunately, I’m assuming that this fragrance is going to be discontinued since I couldn’t find it on the website and many fragrances do typically discontinue after the semi-annual sale. I always have the habit of choosing perfumes that are going to be discontinued after I discover them. Oh well…
(An up-close view of the bottle)
The fragrance isn’t too unique and mind-blowing but what I liked about it the most was that it’s sweet AND light. It doesn’t give me a headache like other sweet fragrances and it doesn’t smell cheap or sugary. It’s the perfect blend and hopefully I’ll be able to find something to replace this after I used it all up (which won’t take long at all!). I usually gravitate towards more citrus or fresh scents but to me this made me rethink my fragrance choices. Sometimes it’s nice to try some new things even if it’s something as little as the perfume you wear.
Hope you enjoyed this post, until next time!
