I’ve been a little quiet on my blog and Instagram since last weekend – we had a corporate event and I was working away the whole weekend. If you didn’t know, I’m a social media manager at a corporate company and we hold weekend-long events a few times a year and it’s always so exhausting and chaotic. I always come back needing a few days to re-energize (especially cause I’m an introvert and being around hundreds of people for an entire weekend drains all my energy lol) and decided to take a small break from my own personal blog and social media. One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned in 2019 is that there’s nothing wrong with taking mini breaks frequently from the online world. It does wonders for my mental health, helps with my creativity and is a great reminder of why I blog: because it brings me joy and I shouldn’t feel pressured to create content 24/7 especially if it’s meaningless and I’m not passionate about it. That’s something I’ve realized bloggers have forgotten about in the online world.
Anyways! For today’s outfit, I completely ignored the whole “no-white after Labor Day” rule (seriously who came up with that?) and decided to wear my favorite pair of white ripped-hem jeans with this new forest green top (I know I wore forest green in my last post too, it’s such a great color!). I found it randomly at Neiman Marcus Last Call. In my opinion, it’s such an underrated outlet store but I always find the best designer items on major sale there! I’ll admit – I’ve avoided wearing anything pleated because I thought it would make me look large but this top is so flattering and chic for the office or out to dinner. I recommend tucking in pleated tops – that way if you have a petite body type, you won’t feel like you’re drowning in it. Miraculously, I was able to find the top online and link it below – it’s also available in black and pink.
What have you been wearing lately that you can’t let go of, from the summer? Comment below!
