Something feels so special about 2020, compared to other years. Maybe it’s because it’s the beginning of a new decade? Or maybe because I finally moved into my new apartment and things are coming together? Or maybe because I finally completed working 365 days in 2019 (read about the details here) and it feels like I’m on some sort of high from the accomplishment! Seriously guys, it feels like I can breathe again now that I have my weekends and vacations back lol. I’m actually going to be posting about the experience later on this week but for now, I thought a new outfit post would be a great way to start the new year.
I’ll admit, I’ve been slacking on blogging lately. It was hard to be motivated in 2019 when I was so focused on my corporate job and was struggling with other personal issues. There was just A LOT going on and my perspective changed – even with blogging. But now that it’s out of the way, I feel refreshed and reborn again and can’t wait to focus more on the blog this year and be consistent again.
During the last week of the decade (it feels so strange saying that), I kept it casual with this ridiculously comfortable sweater from Old Navy that I scored for $10 – I discovered my love for Old Navy in 2019 and it’s not going to stop anytime soon lol. Their stuff is amazing and budget-friendly! Paired with some jeans and my new Tory Burch VELVET platform espadrilles that are a part of the Nordstrom Half Yearly Sale. You guys know I included these espadrilles in my gift guides in the past and I’ve basically been waiting for them to go on sale ever since and it finally did for 40% off. They’re SO comfortable and look luxurious and perfect for Dallas winters.
Lastly, my new work bag that my co-worker likes to call my “Bambi bag”. This is another item that I’ve been eyeing for quite some time and finally got during the Black Friday sale that Barrington Gifts was having. Without a doubt, this is the BEST work/travel/everyday bag and I can’t wait to get it in more colors/patterns. It fits everything like my laptop while also being lightweight and high-quality.
