Let’s get right to the obvious difference in these photos…I CUT MY HAIR! It’s been a while since I’ve had short hair (since college when I got the lob) and lately I’ve been in the mood for tons of change in my life. Right when I got my hair cut on Friday, I felt this weight off of me and it’s proof that new hair can really change you. This is actually the first time I’ve gotten a cut in this style before – it’s very 90’s inspired with some layers at the bottom and a off-center part which I’m loving. I showed the photos of Christy Turlington and Kim K. below to my hairstylist and she nailed it. It’s made getting ready in the mornings so much easier and I love how it has this “high fashion” vibe to it. Bonus: I’ve gotten rid of my damaged hair and it feels 1000x healthier now! If you’re hesitating cutting your hair short, just do it! You’ll feel so much better.
As for the outfit, I’ve been loving Zara’s new collection and picked up this asymmetrical bow top which is perfect for summer days. I’m actually wearing it at the office right now! Just as a note, it is a bit cropped so I recommend pairing something high-waisted with it such as this denim skirt if you don’t feel like showing skin. Over the weekend, my blogger friend DeAndrea and I went to Magnolia’s Sous Le Pont which is pretty much a staple coffee shop in Dallas. It was my first time (can’t believe I waited so long) and it was such a great place to try some unique coffees! I got the peach cobbler latte and it was AMAZING.
Other than that, there really hasn’t been anything new going on with my life. Everything feels the same and is quite monotone which is something that I’ve been struggling with. It kinda sucks when you’re an adult and no longer have summer break to look forward to and have to be in an office from 9-5. Don’t get me wrong! I love my career but having something to look forward to, would be nice. Does anyone else in their 20’s feel like that too? Maybe I’m just going through a quarter-life crisis lol.
