It seems like weeks for now, Dallas has been dark, rainy and depressing. What’s a fashion blogger to do?! (especially cause I can’t take photos outside lol). My friends and I have been getting creative and trying to find some fun things to do indoors and that’s when the idea to make this post formed. I remember when I first moved to Dallas, I promised that I would be creating more posts about the city but I just never got around to it. Now’s the perfect time! Here are some of my favorite things to do on a rainy day in Dallas:

For some reason on rainy days I feel lazy and want to treat myself to some pampering. My favorite beauty treatment is getting my nails done and I usually head to MiniLuxe (so easy to book an appointment with the app but a bit pricey compared to other places so this is a once-in-a-while place), Rose Couture Nail Bar (this place is Instagram-worthy and will cheer you up in no time) or Ms. Patty Cake (famous for her nail designs!). For a blowout that will stand the rain, my holy grail is DryBar or if I want a spa experience, Woodhouse Day Spa is perfect (I used to go to the one back in my hometown of Rochester, NY all the time and was so happy when I found one in Dallas!).

Out of all the things to do on this list, sitting around at coffee shops and having some good conversation is my favorite. We’re pretty lucky to have some great coffee shops in Dallas like George Coffee + Provisions, Magnolias Sous Le Pont, Local Press + Brew, Sip Stir Coffee, Nest Cafe and Halcyon…the list can go on and on! Be on the look out for a Dallas coffee shop post coming soon to the blog!

Rainy days always make me reflect so I usually head to a yoga class at Gaia Flow Yoga in Plano or if I feel like getting a good workout in, head to The Bar Method or SoulCycle (which I know can be intense and isn’t for everyone!).

Of course shopping would make it onto this post! If I don’t feel like heading to the mall, I usually grab my umbrella and check out the local boutiques at the West Village, window-shop at Highland Park Village and grab lunch at Bird Bakery, search for deals at the Allen Outlets or check out some consignment shops like To Be Continued.

Where do I even begin with this one? If I’m in the mood for Italian (which is 90% of the time), my go-to is North Italia or Sixty Vines. For French, I love Toulouse, Edith’s French Cafe, Mercat Bistro or Rise Salon de Souffle. If I’m just heading out for happy hour with the coworkers, I love Moxie’s. For some good wine, Cru and Leela’s Wine Bar is amazing and lastly, if I just want to listen to some upbeat good music and dress up then Stirr is always a good idea.

Rainy days are perfect for the movies and I love going to the Moviehouse & Eatery (where they bring the food to you while you’re watching the movie!) or if I feel like doing something really different, I’ll head to the Dallas Aquarium or Perot Museum. Too boring? You could try indoor skydiving at iFly in Frisco (I’ve heard great things about it!).
