It’s been two weeks since my spontaneous trip to Palm Beach and I still can’t get the city out of my head! In case you feel like booking a last minute trip there and wondering where to stay, I highly recommend The Colony hotel and finally decided to share a review of it on here. I first discovered this hotel on Pinterest and put it on my bucket list and assumed that I would visit years later. Yet when I made the decision to go on a mini getaway in February, something told me that this was the right time to go and stay at my dream hotel. I didn’t regret one minute! Splurging on this beautiful hotel is worth every penny. Here’s why:

I’ll admit, what drew me to the Colony was the aesthetic. I mean just look at how beautiful it is! It’s been open since 1947 and has a beautiful mix of vintage and modern and incorporates all things Palm Beach so perfectly. Right when I arrived and stepped into the lobby, I couldn’t keep my eyes off of the decor! The palm tree print chairs, the green ombre chandelier, the wallpaper! You would think it’s too much, but nope it’s perfect. Even the people staying there look like they just stepped out of an Old Hollywood movie. If you feel like escaping and going somewhere that’s going to instantly put you in a good mood and give you the opportunity to take tons of Insta-worthy photos then this is it.

For dining, I loved the Polo which serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner and also does room service. Most of the menu features classic American dishes and I highly recommend sitting outside near the pool! There’s also a poolside bar called Bimini Bar which has tons of delicious cocktails that you can enjoy under these pretty white umbrellas. If you’re in the mood for something casual then check out Cafe 155 for breakfast and lunch which has delicious sandwiches and drinks for good prices. Lastly, there’s the Royal Room which I didn’t have time to go to but heard it’s a sophisticated and elegant cabaret room and has live performances.

The number one reason why I chose to stay at the Colony (aside from the aesthetic haha) is because of the amazing location. It’s right down the street from Worth Avenue which is a tourist area with tons of luxurious department stores, boutiques, art galleries, and restaurants. The other side of the street that the Colony is located on is the beach! The staff provides you with a chair and beach towel which makes everything so much easier. If you don’t feel like walking to the beach then there’s a pool at the Colony with cute floatie (a picture with a Flamingo floatie is always necessary). If you feel like getting some exercise in, there’s free bikes (it’s biking distance from the Breakers in case you want to head over there for more exploring), yoga classes on certain days, and even a nearby tennis court and gym that you can use for free. Lastly, they always have live performances going on as well as events such as their Mind, Body, and Soul 3 Day Fitness Retreat. Check out the offers section of their site for more events and special deals!
What are some hotels or destinations that are on your bucket list? I’d love to know!
