Today’s the day! As I post this, I’m probably in my car on the way to the graduation ceremony and complaining about how early it is haha. Last night when I was preparing this post, it hit me that years from now I’ll look at these pictures and remember how precious and special it is to graduate from college. As for the graduation look, I wanted to do something unique with my look and went for the flower crown which fit perfectly around my graduation hat and luckily found one in my school colors over on Amazon. I tried to make the flower crown myself but fake flowers at places like Michael’s is just awful! Plus this one had a ribbon that tied in the back and looks gorgeous and only $14. Here’s the link.
As for graduating college quite honestly, I had some of the best moments of my life in college but also the worst. I went through a lot of dark days and sometimes thought that I wouldn’t make it cause life was just too hard. Yet that’s the thing about growth, you can’t appreciate it until it’s all over. It was so necessary for me to go through these changes and overcome obstacles in order to become the woman that I am today. I actually wrote a post about the best lessons that I’ve learned in college here. But for the first time in my life (and it’s really hard for me to say this since I’m a perfectionist!) but I’m just so proud of myself and who I’m becoming and quite frankly…excited for the future! I hope every single one of you evolves and grows so much in your lives that you can stop and appreciate who you’re becoming. The journey can be tough, but I promise that you’re much more tougher. Make the best of the experience and go out and take chances, explore, constantly push yourself and realize that learning doesn’t just take place in a classroom and that there’s no such thing as the typical college experience. And remember, college isn’t the best four years of your life (just like high school isn’t!) because life can always get better. I remember writing about how much better life got after high school in my “Perks After High School” post (throwback from 2014, crazy!) but I have a feeling it’s going to get even better after college.
Lastly, thank you to everyone that’s been reading Sweet, Short & Stylish and supporting me through this journey! I started my blog in college and it’s the reason why I found my passion in life and it’s evolved with me over the years and I couldn’t have done it without you guys!
Congratulations to everyone that’s graduating and to everyone that’s still in college, hang in there! It will be all worth it soon!
