“Though I often looked for one, I finally had to admit that there could be no cure for Paris.”
The last day in Paris…say it ain’t so! This trip was life-changing for me and taught me so many important lessons about life and myself. One of those lessons is how beautiful life can be but the only way to truly understand it’s beauty is to take more chances and travel to see it! I can’t wait to go on more adventures and be able to share it with you all. Blogging about this trip was an absolute pleasure and made the travel withdrawal a little less painful with your kind comments!
So our last day was our free day so we decided to get a couple more places off our bucket lists. One of them was going to the top of the Arc de Triomphe which in my opinion, is a much better view than from the Eiffel Tower! Probably because…you can actually get a skyline view of the Eiffel Tower from there haha.
Fun fact: The roundabout that surrounds the Arc is the biggest roundabout in the world. There’s many tourists that are dumb enough to try to make their way across traffic (which is impossible!) yet little do they know, there’s stairs right on the street which takes you underground to the actual entrance of it.
Right when we bought our tickets we found out that the only way to go up the Arc is to take the stairs! Yikes. But we sucked it up and did it and although we were exhausted, the stairs were worth the view!
That’s the Champs Elysees which is where we were headed next for some shopping!
Shopping in Paris is a must whether you like fashion or not and the Champs Elysees is the perfect place for it. I’m actually going to be putting together a post about shopping in London and Paris so stay tuned!
After buying some souvenirs and doing some window shopping at Louis Vuitton and Cartier we were all excited for our next stop. We headed to Laduree where I always dreamed about going in Paris! This is another place that deserves it’s own blog post (coming soon) but here’s a preview of that magical place.
And that’s just from the outside! Wait till you see it on the inside! I promise you, you’ll want to move in! It’s like a fairytale…*sighs*.
Afterwards, we all headed to the final dinner which EF College Break hosted (free food, hello! lol) and went back to the hotel to say our goodbyes. There was tons of tears shed and hilarious moments such as a random tourist asking us for change after awkwardly watching us cry about leaving haha. Of course, my new travel friends and I promised each other that this isn’t our last trip together and we’re already planning our new one! Can’t say where it is yet but hopefully it will be next summer! I’ve learned that traveling is great and all, but being able to share the journey with some amazing people made it even better. That’s why I decided to end this post with a picture with my tour group and one of my favorite quotes (what else is new?) that always comforted me whenever I came back from vacation.
“There’s never an end to a trip, just another destination.”
Hope you enjoyed this post,
