Frizzy hair: we all have it and most of us want to get rid of it. What could possibly be worse than that? Oh, that’s right…having naturally curly hair that you spend so much time on trying to get straight and it ends up frizzing once you walk outside. Great. As you can obviously tell in my outfit posts, I’ve been battling a severe case of frizzy hair from the humid weather that we’ve been having lately so I’m desperate to try anything that I come across. While I was in the drugstore, I came across this Tresemee product that I always saw in the commercials yet never really thought would work for my curly hair.
I decided to give it a try anyways (since it was only $6) and was disappointed to see that it was such a small bottle of product. The directions say to use 2 pumps on 6 evenly divided sections of damp hair but I think depending on the hair type, you can use less. Then, you blow dry your hair (don’t straighten it!) and then use a flat iron to “activate” the product. Apparently the results are supposed to last through 3 washes and a full 7 days.
So what were my results? Well I wasn’t disappointed the first day I used it. There was a big difference when it came to how smooth and straight my hair was. I don’t think I’ve ever seen my hair have so little frizz in my entire life! I even went outside on a humid, sunny day and the results still lasted! I was impressed and thought it worked. Unfortunately, the results didn’t last the next day and I was back to my frizzy hair. It didn’t last through three washes like it said either and what’s worse is that it dried out my hair!
It could possibly work for someone with naturally straight hair that’s battling a small amount of frizz everyday, but for girls like us with thick, curly hair it was just a waste of time. I guess if you wanted to only use it for a special ocassion then I guess it could get the job done, but I say save your money and invest in something better than this.
Until next time lovelies,
