I always love saving the best bath bombs to use after a long excruciating day of work. This time around I worked an 11 hour shift and was dying to get home and try this. I bought this one along with the Floating Island bath melt which I already reviewed here. Dragon’s Egg is considered to be the motherload of all bath bombs (despite it not looking like much from the outside) because of it’s extra-fizzy powers. As for the smell, it has a lemon-citrus scent that isn’t overpowering but wakes up your senses and makes you feel refreshed.
Once added into water, I was pleasantly surprised by how fizzy it actually was! It made a bunch of crackling noises and it was fun to watch it breaking down in the water so quickly. After a few seconds of swirling around in the tub, it turned the water into an orange/sherbet color mixed with glitter and made my bathroom smell pleasant without it giving me a headache.
After a half hour of soaking in the tub, it softened my dry skin and didn’t leave behind a greasy residue which is always a plus! The glitter on the other-hand was left behind on my skin and on the tub but it quickly came off once I used some water. I did notice the smell did fade away into a baby powder scent after an hour on my skin so if you’re not into these types of scents then I don’t recommend this bath bomb.
Lastly, I pretty much underestimated how much I was going to like this one, I think this a bath bomb that everyone should try at least once! Would I consider it to be the “best” though? Not really. I have other bath bombs in mind that I liked better but this defiantly made my top 10 list! It’s worth a try!
