I’ve been noticing lately when it comes to my makeup collection…I’ve never really hit pan or finish any of it unless it’s expired or dried up. It’s literally come to a point where I have so much makeup that I can’t even use anything up! On top of that, I always end up wanting to buy new stuff since it’s just so tempting. These days, I’m trying to save up more money so I decided to stop buying new makeup for a while and use up everything that I already have (I know, boring!). Going through my collection, I’m discovering products that I totally forgot about and it’s actually a lot of fun to be able to decide how to incorporate each product into my makeup routine. I decided to rotate each product and use something different every day and here’s one of my results!
Today’s face of the day is featuring this gorgeous Lorac eye shadow that is on my list of items that I’ve been neglecting in my collection and decided to use again. I’m pretty sure this one has been discontinued since I’m not seeing it on the Sephora website anymore, but it’s Lorac’s single eye shadow in Delight. It may seem intimidating to wear purple eye shadow to work but I managed to pull it off with neutral colors surrounding it to lessen the drama with Mac’s Lady Grey palette which I bought at a Cosmetics Company Outlet a few months back.
I wouldn’t even call it a purple color but more of a cool-toned magenta that has a duo chrome of blue when reflected in the light. I patted it onto the middle of my eye and contoured with Lady Grey and Hazy Day and patted All Races into the inner corners of my eyes, all from Mac’s Lady Grey quad. I would highly recommend this look for people with blue or green eyes since purple seems to bring out their eye colors so well!
